B. Creative
Barbara F. Broadbent, owner-operator of B. Creative, has been
in business since September of 1996. I have canned for over 25
years for family and friends. I sell wholesale to the finest gift
shops, restaurants and specialty stores in New York. You can see
my products in many of these types of establishments, especially
in the Adirondack Mountain and Catskill Mountain areas. I process
and manufacture over 48 products.
I have a state licensed kitchen in my Little Falls, NY home, which
is approved by the New York State Department of Agriculture and
Markets. My business kitchen is a separate kitchen from my personal
household kitchen. Every product is produced and packaged in this
kitchen. My kitchen is inspected by the New York State Agricultural
Department at least twice a year. I have a New York State Food
Processor's license to renew biannually.
I, also, attended a Better Processing course ran by Cornell University
held in Rochester, NY, where I earned a certificate from Cornell
University's New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in
Geneva, NY. This certificate is mandatory for the manufacturing
and sales of acidified products in New York State. All of my recipies,
process procedures and products for my acidified foods, such as
pickles and relishes, have been submitted, tested and filed with
the FDA and Cornell University Department of Food Science and
Technology.
