Plaide Palette

The Plaide Palette is a family owned and operated business in scenic, central New York which specializes in the retail sales of Celtic gifts.

The retail shop, mail order and web business are located within the historic Oliver Judd homestead on Main Street in Cherry Valley. Ceramics, sculpture, creation of those "cake toppers","tartan Santas" and the plaid paintings are all done on premises.

Gifts created there are considered truly unique and well done. The shop also maintains an extensive databank of family and clan tartans on the premises.In addition, the Plaide Palette people also import many fine gifts from Ireland, Scotland and Wales and service and sell bagpipes and bodhran drums plus have and extensive collection of bagpiping and Celtic music CD's.

They also utilize local expertise in the fields of knitting, soap-making and candles.

One can browse the shop, go to the computer and look up your family tartan and enjoy the fresh country air and smallness of this historic village "lost in time". A visit to Cherry Valley ---it's like visiting "Brigadoon"!
